1. Smartphone Projects Ltd, is hereinafter also referred to as Smartphone Projects or the company in this Privacy Policy.
Data protection, privacy and user consent are important to Smartphone Projects. This Privacy Policy is brought to a user's attention, so that users of the company's products and services are aware of their rights, and the way in which the company might legally use their data.
Smartphone Projects is a company primarily focussed on software development.

2. An IP (Internet Protocol) address is data that is sent to a web server by a device requesting data (such as a web page) from the web server, so that it can be routed back to the requesting device. In some contexts, an IP address can be considered data that identifies an individual person.
Smartphone Projects web server, routinely logs IP addresses when data requests are made to it, along with certain other data such as a referring url if there is one, and the requesting browser name and version. This data is routinely deleted, and not used for any purpose involving what might be considered personally identifiable user data, other than to address data sent from the web server, back to a requesting device.
In the provision of certain types of services and applications, user data is required to be collected and stored for their provision to be viable. For example, login credentials need to be stored and referenced in order to provide an online service that requires a user name and password. In such cases, user data will only be used by company in line with the legitimate expectations of users, with required notifications given, and required consents obtained.
3. When a user of one of the company's products or services connect through it or from it to a separate legal entity, the company advises that it ceases to be responsible for the protection of the user's data in respect of the third party's acts and omissions at that point, the obligation shifting to the third party.
4. Smartphone Projects endeavours to securely store any user personal data it might hold.
5. Smartphone Projects endeavours to minimise what user data it might hold, with the exception of data that users of the company's products and services might legitimately expect it to retain.
6. Smartphone and other device applications the company might provide, may themselves for bona fide reasons, store data on a user's device even after an application might be closed and a device switched off. In such cases, the company will explain what and why with reasons including data stored on a device at the request of a user, such as application data deliberately saved to a device by a user, and data that permits an application to run, such as a record of the user's acceptance of terms specific to that application. On uninstalling an application from a device, this data is automatically deleted in its entirety.
7. Users of the company's products and services are advised that when updating an app (application) or using
a
newer version of a service of the company's, the company may need to ask for new or revised permissions from
the
user to enable their
use of the updated app or new service.
8. At the request of a person whose personal data the company holds, in accordance with applicable law and
subject to proof of identity, if required the company will take all steps that can be reasonably expected
to:
i. detail any such data and if legally obliged transfer it elsewhere.
ii. if required and appropriate amend data (subject to 8a) or restrict how it might be used.
iii. respond appropriately to an objection by a person to the use of their data.
iv. if required and subject to lawful caveats, expunge from databases and accounts, personally identifiable
data
pertaining to that person.
Caveats include where a user might have sent data to another person, that data then becoming a part of
another
person's data as in for example,
a user sent message that becomes part of another person's received message data.
8a. If the user consents to terms in order to use a product or service of the company's where it is
explicitly
stated to the effect (or it is obvious)
that something cannot be changed or is irreversible when done, the user accepts that in such cases the
company
is under no obligation, to amend data pertaining to such instances.
